Low Volume Low Pressure (LVLP) Spray Guns

-- Steady & Reliable Manufacturer --

What Are LVLP Spray Guns?

LVLP — Low Volume, Low Pressure — spray guns sit between HVLP and conventional technology. They atomise at 10–25 psi at the air cap while consuming only 6–12 CFM, making them the practical choice for workshops running smaller compressors (1–2 HP). Transfer efficiency of 60–75% is significantly better than conventional guns, and the lower air demand means less pressure drop over long hose runs.

LIS engineers developed the LVLP line specifically for international distributors supplying markets where 3–5 CFM compressors are common — smaller body shops in emerging markets, mobile detailing operations, and trade users who need professional results without industrial-scale air supply infrastructure.

LVLP vs. HVLP: Which Should You Stock?

HVLP delivers marginally finer atomisation and higher peak transfer efficiency; LVLP runs on a wider range of compressors and forgives lower air supply pressure. For distributors serving mixed markets, stocking both gives customers the right tool for their compressor capacity. LIS offers matching nozzle kits across both ranges to simplify cross-selling.

Application

  • Small Body Shops: Touch-up, panel blending, and spot repairs where a large compressor is unavailable or impractical.
  • Mobile Detailing & Restoration: Van-mounted compressors with limited CFM output are matched well by LVLP air demand.
  • Furniture & Cabinet Touch-Up: Low air consumption suits batch finishing lines with multiple simultaneous users sharing one air supply.
  • DIY Automotive Enthusiasts: Hobbyists with 1–2 HP garage compressors can achieve near-professional finishes.
  • Primer and Sealer Application: Larger nozzle options handle higher-viscosity materials with lower inlet pressure than HVLP.
  • Emerging Market Distribution: Suitable for regions where compressed air infrastructure is less developed.
