What Are HVLP Spray Guns?
HVLP — High Volume, Low Pressure — spray guns atomize paint using a large volume of air delivered at no more than 10 psi at the air cap. The result is a soft, controlled spray that deposits far more coating on the surface than conventional high-pressure guns. For professional finishers, body shops, and furniture factories, switching to an HVLP spray gun typically means 65–85% transfer efficiency versus the 25–40% offered by older technology.
LIS has manufactured HVLP spray guns since the early 1990s under brands including Voylet, Muzi, and Wagema. Every gun is built to tight dimensional tolerances, tested for air-cap pressure compliance, and available for OEM or ODM customisation from our Ningbo production facility.
Why Buyers Choose HVLP
Regulatory bodies in the US (EPA, SCAQMD) and the EU mandate HVLP-class equipment for many industrial spray applications. Beyond compliance, the technology simply wastes less material, produces less overspray mist in the booth, and leaves a smoother finish on flat and moderately curved panels. For waterborne basecoats now standard in automotive refinish, HVLP remains the preferred air-atomisation method worldwide.
